Obituary of Prudence Jex Prudence A. Jex passed away February 12, 2019 in Eastern Niagara Hospital. Born August 25, 1926 in Pennsylvania she was the daughter of Frederick and Evelyn (Rittburg) Chapin. Prudence was active member of the Second Presbyterian Church in Lockport where she was an Elder and a Deacon.

She enjoyed gardening, babysitting, and playing BINGO. Prudence was predeceased by her husband Frederick N. Jex on November 5, 2016. Prudence is survived by her children Frederick (Darlene) Jex, Richard (Audrey) Jex, and Sharon (Leonard) Guagliano; grandmother of six and great grandmother of eight; sister of Patricia Moshier, the late Barbara Soulvie and Virginia Iaonne; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Friday, Feb. 15th from 4-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb.

16th at 11 AM in First Presbyterian Church, 21 Church St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Donations to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
