Obituary for Qian Perez Qian Perez, 44, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, June 9th, 2018 at his home in Arlington, Texas. Qian was born on April 5th, 1974 in Houston. He graduated from Lamar High School in Arlington, Texas in 1992.
He had a unique way of looking at life and spent his 44 years living a kind and lovable existence with a penchant for making all those who surrounded him laugh. His quick wit could find humor and happiness in even the direst of situations. Qian enjoyed traveling and music festivals.
He was obsessed with 80’s music and was fond of primitive camping. He worked in transportation management and never met a stranger. He could get anyone to crack a smile with his gregarious nature and sweet style.
Qian had a wide assortment of watches which accompanied his desire to dress sharp in the perfect way. His greatest gift to this world was his son, Vincent Pierre Perez, who was born on September 29th, 2015. Qian loved to do puzzles with little “Cho Cho,” and spent as much time as he could watching his boy grow.
He married the love of his life, Angela Marie Meyers, on July 24th, 2016, in Fort Worth, Texas. Angie taught Qian to swim at age 42, so he was able to get plenty of pool time in with his son who adores the water. Qian was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in 2016.
Never one to dwell on his tragic circumstances, he continued to fight for his life for more than 2 years through surgeries and chemo treatments with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Anita Pruneda Perez. Qian is survived by his loving wife, Angie, and son, Vincent; father, Carl Milton Perez, and stepmother, Ivonne; mother, Juanita Marenco; sisters, Raqis and Marqel; brother, Dezmar Perez, and wife Ashley; brothers Phillipe, Carl Gabriel, and Francisco; sister, Giselle; aunt and uncle, Ginger and Raymond Zamarippa; aunt and uncle, Bill and Elma Rowell; cousin, Justin Zamarippa, and wife, Jennifer; father and mother-in-law, Ron and Carol Meyers; brother-in-law, Rhett Meyers; and many more family and friends Qian had plenty of nicknames given to him by his friends, with perhaps the favorite being his band member name, “Leaf Blower”.
