Obituary for Dottie McLaughlin Dottie Ilene McLaughlin, 83, our beloved mother passed away on July 11, 2018. She was born in Gonzales, Texas, on July 29, 1934 to Iley R. Gray and Laura Alice Cavasar Gray. She married Bernard P. “Mac” McLaughlin on August 29, 1952.

Her world revolved around her husband, her children and good friends. She loved to garden and cook, so her home was always surrounded by beautiful flowers and wonderful aromas. She was very creative and artistically talented.

She was never afraid to take on any challange! Dottie Ilene was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard, of 62 years. She is survived by her three children – Cathy Green (and husband, Lester), Lisa Burke (and husband, Bob) and son, Patrick McLaughlin, 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, her sister, Bobbie Jean Gray Nance, and a niece and nephew.

The family wishes to thank the amazing staff of Meadowbrook Memory Care in Arlington and Heart to Heart Hospice for the wonderful love and care they gave to our mother during the last years of her life.
