R.L. “Bud” Sutton, 78, passed away November 5, 2018 surrounded by his family in Baytown, Texas. Bud was born on November 12, 1939 to parents Alvin and Lavada Marie Sutton. He married the love of his life, Bettie Louise Cantrell “Lucy”, on July 4, 1959 and they enjoyed 54 years together raising their two children, Roger Lynn and Rhonda Louise.

He is preceded in death by his son, Roger in 1986 at the age of 20 and his wife Bettie in 2013 at the age of 75. He is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Louise Wagner and husband Ben; granddaughter, Rachel Marie Simmons, and husband Nelson; grandson Weslyn Sutton Wagner and grandson, Jacob Edward Dockery; brother, Johnny Sutton and wife Becky; as well as numerous extended family members, church family and dear friends.

Friends are welcome to join the family for visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2018 at Carter-Conley Funeral Home with a celebration of his life officiated at 2:00 pm by his Pastor Bro. Kelly Courtney. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at San Jacinto Memorial Park under the direction of Carter-Conley Funeral Home.
