Obituary for Rachel Shannon Warnick Mickelson On June 13, 2018, Rachel passed away while vacationing in Richland, WA, as a result of complications arising from Huntington’s Disease. She faced her HD battle with perseverance and dignity, and was able to enjoy her life up to its final minutes. Rachel touched many lives, and was able to draw out the best qualities in people.

She attended Washington State University, remaining a lifetime booster for the school. Prior to her disability retirement, she was an inventory systems manager for Boeing. Besides being an active member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Rachel was a founding member of the Kirkland Bunco Babes, and enjoyed travel, road trips, wine tasting, her dog Angel, and was devoted to raising her son, Jeff.

Rachel will be dearly missed by her husband, Jerry Mickelson; son, Jeff Mickelson; sister, Mary Cresto; brother Patrick Warnick; her beloved Aunt Betty; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, James Warnick; mother Margaret Warnick; and brother James Warnick. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at St. John’s Episcopal Church in downtown Kirkland.
