OBITUARY Rafael C. Alvarez November 10, 1941 – December 13, 2018 Rafael C. Alvarez, age 77 of Dallas, Texas passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Medical City Dallas Hospital. Rafael was born on November 10, 1941 in Dallas, Texas a son of Isadore T. Alvarez and Paz Cachon Alvarez. Rafael was also known as Ralph, and nicknamed Waffles.

He attended school at St. Ann’s Elementary and Crozier Tech High School in Dallas. He worked for LTV in Grand Prairie for over 30 years. He is survived by his brother Jose A. Alvarez and two sisters: Carmen A. Lopez and Conception A. Calderon.

A visitation for Rafael will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, located at 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220. The Liturgy of the Word & Funeral Service for Rafael will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 2:00 PM also at Calvary Hill Funeral Home. Waffles was a Catholic man of Faith.

He was a lung cancer survivor and loved the Dallas Cowboys and lottery tickets. He was a kind, sweet, and generous man. Burial will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
