Ralph was born in Lee County, son of the late Doyette Lett and Virginia Stewart Lett. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Jerre Lett.

He was a graduate of Broadway High School Class of 1954 and was a veteran of the United States Army. Ralph had a long career with the NC State Highway Patrol and retired from the NC DMV, license and theft section. He was also a member of Newell Masonic Lodge No.

739. Graveside funeral services with masonic and military honors will be conducted at 2pm Saturday (1/26/2019) at the Moore Union Christian Church Cemetery with Rev. David Yarborough officiating.

Surviving is his son Wayne Lett and wife Beth of Huntersville, NC. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm, one hour prior to the service at the Moore Union Christian Church. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials are made to the Moore Union Christian Church, 4294 Buckhorn Road Sanford, NC 27330.
