Obituary for Ralph Franklin “The Rabbit Man” Dispain Ralph Franklin “The Rabbit Man” Dispain, age 91, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018 in an Athens, Tennessee health care facility. Mr. Dispain was the son of the late Cyna and Joe Dispain. His grand daughter, Cayci Higgins, his daughter, Bobbie Holloway, his brothers, Howard and Reed Dispain, his brother in law, Doyle Trew and his step son Roy Higgins also preceded him in death.

He was retired from Maytag after many years of service. He owned and operated T & D Movers for many years. He was a well known auctioneer and he loved the outdoors including, hunting, fishing, working in his vegetable and flower gardens and raising his chickens and rabbits.

He was affectionately known as the “The Rabbit Man”. Mr. Dispain attended the Cloverleaf Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Tennie Dispain of Cleveland, his daughters, Della Sutton of Lamontville, Tennessee, Shirley Haney of Blue Ridge, Georgia, Angie Richardson and her husband Ricky of Calhoun, Tennessee, his son, Ralph Dispain Jr. of Cleveland, his 19 grandchildren, his numerous great grandchildren, his step daughters, Phyllis Taylor of Marietta, Georgia, Sherri Hartgraves and Becki Higgins both of Cleveland and Marquetta Turner of Jonesboro, Georgia, his step son, Mike Taylor and his wife Barbara of Cleveland, his sister, Mary Trew of Cleveland, his half brother, Floyd Haney and his wife Mae of Decatur and several nieces and nephews also survive.

The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Sunday, September 2, 2018 at 2:30 P. M. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel with his family officiating. Interment will follow in the Fort Hill Cemetery with Tyler Swafford, Michael Hartgraves, Christian Swafford, Clayton Taylor, Trevor Richardson and Bob Coleman serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Bud Swallows, Jeremy Williams, Eric Green, Bobby Hutton and Frankie Wilcox.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until the service time at 2:30 on Sunday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements. You may share your condolences and your memories with the Dispain family at www. jimrushfuneralhomes.com.
