Obituary for Ralph Wayne Rigdon Ralph Wayne Rigdon, age 80, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 11:10 a.m. Monday, December 17, 2018 at his home. Wayne attended Webster County High School. He was a partner with M. Bowling Incorporated Marine Division.
He was a 32nd Degree Mason with the Henderson Masonic Lodge # 958, a KY Colonel and a member of the Operating Engineers Local # 181 for over 50 years. Wayne loved going to watch his granddaughter play ball and enjoyed restoring old tractors and trucks. He was very proud of his 1950 Chevy pickup and his 1949 Farmall tractor.
Wayne was a man of few words, but when he did say something you needed to listen because that meant his was usually trying to teach you something. Most of all he loved God, his family, and his friends. Wayne is survived by his wife of 61 years Mary Rigdon, his daughter Sheila McConnell and her husband Trent, his son David Wayne Rigdon, 2 grandchildren; Tara McConnell Hunsinger and her husband Josh, Zachary Rigdon, 1 great granddaughter Annalee Rose Hunsinger, nieces, nephews, and sisters-in-law.
Relatives and friends are invited to Wayne’s Life Celebration from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and again on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the service time at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2018 at the funeral home with Gary Shoulders officiating. Entombment will follow in the Fairmont Mausoleum in Henderson, KY.
A masonic service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
