Ramiro R. Ramirez, age 79, of Coleman, died Saturday, May 11, 2019, in Coleman County Medical Center. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 13, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, Coleman. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.

James Ceniceros officiating. Interment will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home. Ramiro R. Ramirez was born April 19, 1940, in Coleman, a son of Jose C. Ramirez and Cristina Rosales Ramirez.

He grew up in Coleman where he also attended school. On April 13, 1963 he married Margarita Padilla in Snyder, and she preceded him in death on April 5, 2013. Mr. Ramirez was a life-long resident of Coleman and worked for the Santa Fe Railroad, then in the oilfield, for Stemple Manufacturing Company and Dry Manufacturing Company.

He was also a dedicated caregiver to his wife, Margarita, until her death. He was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista in Coleman. Mr. Ramirez was a connoisseur of coffee and enjoyed many cups of coffee every day.

He loved being outside and enjoyed nature. He was a jokester with a great sense of humor as well as being a loving father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his three children, Naomi Morales and husband Gilbert, Cecilia Cruz, Harvey Ramirez and wife Pam, all of Coleman; six grandchildren, Sonya Cruz Sifuentes and husband Jebb, Jeffrey Segura, Jessica Morales, Justin Morales, Marcus Segura, Jacob Ramirez; one great-grandson, Niko Sifuentes; two sisters, Carmen Trinidad and husband Pete of Grand Prairie, Dora Calk of Coleman; three brothers, Isabel Ramirez of San Antonio, Jesse Ramirez of Brownwood, Nicholas Ramirez of Abilene; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one sister, Esperanza Diaz, three brothers, Rudy Ramirez, Julian Ramirez and Lucio Ramirez. Please leave condolences and memories for the family at www. livingmemorials.com.
