Funeral for Randle Lee Smith, 71, of Decatur will be Saturday, November 17, 2018, at 2:00 PM with Bro Justin McAlpin and Bro Scotty Hogan officiating. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Westmeade Baptist Church.

Mr Smith, who died Wednesday, November 14, 2018, in Decatur, was born September 20, 1947, to William Nomor Smith and Rachel Lovett Smith. He was a member of Westmeade Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by: His parents Brother- Lonnie Smith Survivors include: Spouse – Beverly Smith Son – Scott (Philomena) Smith 2 Sisters – Doris (Ronnie) Ross and Pat (Danny) Darnell 2 Grand Children – Creighton (Becca) Smith and Chloee (Jacob) Smith 2 unborn great grandchildren A number of nieces and nephews Pallbearers will be Heath Darnell, Jared Darnell, Roy Lee Woods, Tim Smith, David Bates and Chris Ross Honorary Pallbearers: James Chitwood, Jeron Witt, Gil Hartman, Mally Shelley, Raymond Statham and Jackie Peek Randle finished high school at Rogerville.

He played football for 4 years. He loved Alabama football. Randle was drafted into the army in December 1967.

He served in Vietnam from July 1968-July 1969. He received a purple heart and was a disabled veteran. After he returned he worked at 3-M and owned and operated a grocery store.

He opened Smith Motors in February 1977 and has been in business for over 41 years. He also sold Christmas trees for over 35 years. He received the honor of dealer of the year for the State Of Alabama, 2017 and Best Of The Best for 2018.
