Angier: Mr. Randy James Pope, age 65, of 3376 Zack’s Mill Road, died Sunday, January 6, 2019, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Funeral services will be 11:00AM, Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Dr. Elvin Butts and Mr. Gene Stephenson will officiate.

Burial will follow in Pope Family Cemetery at the home place. Randy was born in Harnett County on July 1, 1953, to the late Durwood Pope and Bessie Stephenson Pope Lee Baker. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Pope; sister, Gwen Pope; and step-fathers, John Lee and Joe Baker.

Randy was the owner and operator of RST Electric. He was a member of Johnson Memorial Church and attended Friendly Chapel Church. Surviving include his wife of 39 years, Gwen Honeycutt Pope; children, Jessica Pope Downing, Solomon Pope and wife, Amanda; and Tony Pope and wife, Nichole; grandchildren, Liam James Downing, Aubrey Lee Pope and Scarlett Claire Pope; brother and sister-in-law, Troy and Janet Pope; step-sister, Cindy Matthews; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 8, 2019, from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
