OBITUARY Randy Paul Garcia September 18, 1964 – August 28, 2018 On August 28, 2018, beloved husband and father, Randy Paul Garcia, left this earth. Randy is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jeannie and their three children, Jarred, Sean, and Cianna. Randy also left behind his parents, sister, and a host of other relatives and friends.

He will be sorely missed. During his short life, Randy achieved many things. He retired after 24 years of proud military service as a Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force.

While on active duty, he earned his Master’s Degree in International Business Management from Troy State University and a Bachelor’s Degree from Wayland Baptist. But, perhaps his greatest achievement, however, was his volunteer work with youth. As a college student, Randy became a life member of Alpha Phi Omega, a co-ed service fraternity.

He was a volunteer soccer coach when his children were young. As his children grew, Randy became a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America serving for 16 years as a Den Leader, Assistant Scoutmaster, Scoutmaster, Committee member, Camp Director, and District Committee member. He mentored and influenced the lives of many young men and women and helped raise two Eagle Scouts, his sons, Jarred and Sean.

Randy also worked with Special Olympics in Japan and was a proud member of the Kanto Clowns. Randy’s hobbies included camping, fishing, golfing, and clowning. He loved live music, sitting around a campfire with his friends, and watching movies.

Randy had an adventurous spirit and was always up for trying new foods, going new places or trying the latest and greatest tech gadgets. The family requests that no flowers be sent, but instead, please make a donation in Randy’s memory to the Fisher House Foundation, cancer research, or the Boy Scouts of America. Equally important, Randy would encourage all of you to volunteer with the group of your choice.

He truly believed that by helping others he could make the world a better place.
