Obituary for Raneth Yok Heng ,M.D. In Loving Memory of Raneth Yok Heng, M.D. Raneth Yok Heng, née Mouraneth Saphan Yok, 45, passed away alongside family, November 19, 2018 at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Grapevine. Her memorial services will be held this Saturday, November 24, at Lucas Funeral Home, 700 W. Wall St., Grapevine, TX. Private visitation for immediate family is scheduled for 8:30 to 9:30 am.

Open visitation and funeral services will take place from 9:30-10:30 am, and 10:30-12:30, respectively. Dr. Heng was born on February 12, 1973 in Battambang, Cambodia to Mouran and Saphan Yok. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in sociology with a minor in chemistry from Barnard College, Columbia University in New York.

She received her medical degree from the Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine in Portland and completed her residency in Family Medicine at Texas A&M University College of Medicine. She then went on to complete a fellowship at the University of Arizona’s Center for Integrative Medicine. Raneth was passionate about her work as an integrative/functional medicine/holistic physician and was committed to taking the time to connect with each of her patients individually to provide the most personalized care for their minds, bodies and spirits.

Raneth dedicated her life to helping others, continuous growth and learning, and was deeply committed to her family and friends. Of all the accolades she received for her many talents, she considered her children the greatest of her accomplishments. She loved music, dancing, hiking, camping, movies, travelling, writing, and above all, spending quality time with family and friends.

She will be forever remembered for her kind, generous spirit, joyful smile, and authenticity. Prior to passing, Raneth served as the Medical Director at Integrative Medical of Coppell, but spent the majority of her career as an Integrative Medicine Consultant at the Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine in San Diego. Dr. Heng knew Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and worshiped at White’s Chapel United Methodist Church where she was a member of the choir.

Dr. Heng is survived by her two beloved children, Ani and Dara Heng and ex-husband, Veasna Heng, of Trophy Club, TX, her parents, Saphan and Mouran Yok of Southlake, TX, her sisters Sara Garza, Kristy Tran, and Bopha Green (of Trophy Club, TX, Southlake, TX, and Bellingham, WA, respectively), and her nieces and nephews, Sophia, Selah, Luke, and Olivia Garza, Leo Tran, and Claire and Taylor Green V.
