Ray “Jack” Womac, 78, a lifelong resident of McMinn County passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at his home in Etowah. He was born on November 19, 1939 a son of the late Noah & Mary Womac. He was retired from Athens Products.

Jack was of the Baptist faith and a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Delano, TN. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family. Survivors daughter and son in law Jacqueline Marie and Jimmy Locke of Etowah; grandchildren Jackson Eugene, Amanda Paige, Jordan Ruth and Karah Elizabeth; extra special friends Skip and Elizabeth Rogers and their families, Tom & Linda Blackwell and Judy Bivens, two sisters Katherine Mason (Calvin) of Denver, CO and Ruth Ross (Jack) of Marion, NC, two brothers Bob Womac (Dessie) of Eatonton, GA and Claude Womac (Louise) of Athens, TN, sister in law Carolyn Womac of Athens and Frances Whitehead of Cleveland, TN, brother in law Charles “Ansell” Lunsford (Pat) of Dalton, GA, God Children Shaneah Ross McCawley, Jenna Ross Taylor and Jacob Daylen Ross numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 7:00 PM at Companion Funeral Home of Athens located at 400 S. White Street in Athens, TN with Rev. Vernon Webb, Rev Don Whitehead and Dr. Richard Mason officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday evening at the funeral home from 5:00pm until the 7:00 pm service time. A private graveside service will be held.
