Ray Loy Lingerfelt, age 80, of Gainesville, GA passed away Friday, October 5, 2018. He was born in Dahlonega and lived most of his life in Hall County. He served in the Navy and later retired from General Motors after 30 years of service.

Mr. Lingerfelt was the son of the late William David and Mary Lou Self Lingerfelt. He was also preceded in death by his son, Ronnie Ray Lingerfelt; step-son Donnie Lee Bryant; sisters, Wilma Cantrell and Sybil Richman. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Lingerfelt; daughter, Renee York; grandson, Dustin York; granddaughter, Lauren Berrong; great granddaughter, Halle Berrong; brothers, Phil Lingerfelt, Roy Lingerfelt, Lawrence Lingerfelt, Bob Lingerfelt; sisters, Helen Anderson and Dora Strain.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 7, 2018 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Lee Cantrell will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
