Ray Sloan, age 75, of Boulder City, NV passed away on December, 31, 2018. He was born on August 30, 1943 in Avenal, California to Shelvie and Bertha Viola Christian Sloan. He married Kathy Hendrickson on August 23, 1985 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

They moved to Boulder City from Albuquerque, NM in 2003. Ray served his country in the United States Army for three years; two of those years were in Ft Richardson, Alaska just outside of Anchorage. He went to Coalinga Junior College and then Fresno State College and got his BS in Business Administration.

He worked as an accountant for Caterpillar Heavy Equipment. Ray was a member of the Elk’s Lodge, American Legion, and E.C.V. in Boulder City. Ray is survived by his wife Kathy Sloan; a sister Donna Tuttle; and many nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday January 20, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Boulder City Elks Lodge 1217 Nevada Hwy, Boulder City, Nevada. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday January 26, 2019 at 11:00 am at Bethany Baptist Church 210 Wyoming Street, Boulder City, NV. He will be cremated and interred at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr Boulder City, NV on Monday January 28, 2019 at 12:40 pm.
