Obituary for Raymond Charles MacDowell Raymond C. MacDowell passed away at 76 years of age on September 28th, 2018 with his loving daughter Ellen by his side to comfort him. He was also survived by his son Dennis, and his nieces Maureen Larsen and Susan Urciuoli and many dear friends. Ray was raised in Rockaway Beach, NY and graduated from St. Augustine High School in 1959.

Ray served in the U.S. Army as a Private First Class. He retired as a Captain from the New York City Dept. of Corrections in 1990.

Ray continued to succeed in a fulfilled life of business and pleasure enjoying the South Shore of Long Island, NY and the Gulf Coast of Florida. The smiles, laughter, and good times he shared with us will forever be in our hearts. A Mass is scheduled at St. Jerome’s Church on Hamlin Dr. at 10:30AM on Wed.
