Raymond H. Ford, 77 of Conneaut, Ohio died Wednesday (July 4th) at the Ashtabula County Medical Center. He was born January 11, 1941 in Ashtabula the son of Eugene and Dorothy (Williams) Ford. He was a graduate of Ashtabula High School and had worked as a Tool and Die grinder at True Temper until his retirement.

He enjoyed meeting his friends at Conneaut McDonalds and was active at the Senior Center in Conneaut. He loved going to the fair for the demolition derby, fishing and the Cleveland Indians. He like to take his dog for walks along the lake and he loved his cats.

Ray was the handy man everyone would turn to for help. Surviving him are four children, Katrina (Sean) Kennedy of Erie, PA, Michael Ford of Dorset, Katheryn Ford with whom he made his home and David Ford of Dorset; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild and two sisters, Dorothy (Bob) of Jefferson and Mable of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Kaye Ford and a brother, Ronald.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time. Memorial contributions can be made to the Family c/o Fleming & Billman Funeral Home or to an animal charity of the donor’s choice. The Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 526 W. Prospect Rd.
