Marilyn M. Heidelberg, age 71, former Lenox Twp. and Jefferson resident, died Saturday afternoon at the Country Club Retirement Center. She was born May 12, 1947 in Ashtabula, the daughter of J. Earl & V. Emily (Liggett) Heidelberg and has been an area resident all of her life.

Marilyn was a 36-year employee of Sanborn Wire, retiring in 2002. For many years, she was an active member of the Lenox Federated Church where she assisted with the children’s programs and nursery. She was most recently attending the Eagleville Bible Church.

Survivors include a sister, Louise (Aaron) Zeikle of Topeka, KS, a sister-in-law, Naomi Heidelberg of Fort Wayne, IN, a cousin whom was like a sister, Roberta McNeilly of Williamsfield Twp. and three nieces and nephews. Her parents and two brothers, Ron & Lawrence Heidelberg preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM at the Jefferson Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors and Crematory, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson with Pastor Steve Tharp of the First Baptist Church of Andover officiating. Burial will be in Rays Corners Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 1-2 PM at the funeral home.
