Obituary for Refugia R Partida In loving memory of Refugia “Cuca” Partida, at 87, who passed away peacefully and entered into eternal rest on April 25, 2018 to be with her Lord and Savior. Refugia was born July 4, 1930 to Manuel and Juana Reyna of Edinburg, Texas. There she grew up with her five siblings; Abrana Palomo, Hilaria Salazar, Monica Garcia, Josefina Ortiz and Frank Reyna.

Refugia met her loving husband, Hilario Partida, in Edinburg Texas. As childhood friends and neighbors, they fell in love and were married at age 20 on November 2, 1950 in Corocan, California. From California they moved to Walla Walla, Sunnyside and finally settled in Pasco.

She has resided here with her family for the past 60 years. Refugia worked for Roger’s of Walla Walla until she retired in 1979. She was a long-time parishioner and devout Catholic at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

Refugia was active in the Senior Community, loved tending to her garden and spending time with her grandchildren. Refugia is survived by her five children; Gloria Cobos, Estella Elder, Arthur Partida (Myrna), Olivia Partida and Joann Partida. She also leaves behind her ten grandchildren; Isreal Cobos (Nellie), Andrea Cobos, Melina Robinson, Carissa Partida, Alyssia Partida, Alejandro Partida, Sulema Partida, Tyrone Turner, Erica Ordonez, Gerardo A. Navarro and eight great grandchildren.

Refugia was greeted at Heaven’s gate by her parents, her adoring husband, Hilario Partida, and her sisters; Abrana Palomo, Hilaria Salazar who preceded her in death. The Memorial Service will be Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Mueller’s Tri-Cities Funeral Home at 1401 S. Union St. in Kennewick.
