Obituary for Regina Hardy Regina Hardy Augusta, GA – Regina L. Hardy, 98, passed away peacefully in her home, Thursday, September 20. She was the 5th of 6 children born on March 7, 1920 in Jennerstown, Pa. The family moved to Sharon, Pa where she attended school in Hickory Township.

Upon her marriage, she moved to Hickory, Pa. , now known as Hermitage where she lived until 1968. She then relocated to Augusta, Ga.

Regina and her husband, Peter Carpec had 7 children; Donna Carpec, Regina (Wick) Dillon, Marcia Broadway, Jo Ann Branscum (deceased), Denice (Bud) Cochran, a son, Pete Carpec, and Christine (Dan) Trinckes, and her beloved cat, Fluffy. Regina was also a loving Grandma and Gigi. She loved tending to her garden.

Her letters to her family always included an update on the status of her flowers and vegetable garden. Regina also loved dancing. She and her late husband, Charles Hardy shared a love for square dancing.

She also enjoyed the early morning pool exercise program at the Kroc Center and the friends she met there. Throughout her lifetime she worked at Wimpy’s Sandwich Shop, J.M. Fields, served as the Food Service Manager at Eckard’s, and at Murray Biscuit Company. She was a loyal Atlanta Braves fan and enjoyed watching the games on television.

She was a member of the St. Mark’s Young at Heart Club and the Warren Baptist Joy Club. There will be no calling hours per Regina’s request. Donations may be made to St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Washington Rd.
