Reis “Reisie” Johnson, 63, of Harkers Island, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 at his home. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Free Grace Wesleyan Church with Pastor Manley Rose, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Vergie Mae Cemetery.

Reisie worked as an electrical lineman for 32 years of service. He also worked for the Potash Corporation as a Tankerman at the Radio Island Terminal, but his true passion was working on the water as a commercial fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Eugenia Johnson; daughter, Megan Morris and husband Cody of Smyrna; son, Jeff Johnson of Straits; mother, Natalie Willett Johnson of Harkers Island; sisters, Pamela Williams and husband Clyde and Natasha Oden and husband Herb all of Harkers Island; brother, Ken Johnson and wife Mandy of Harkers Island; grandchildren, Carly Morris and Ryan Reis Morris; nieces and nephews, Jamie Johnson, Benji Johnson, Taylor Carraway, Jarrett Yeomans, and Savannah Oden.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Reis Johnson; and nephew, Kenny Paul Johnson. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday at Free Grace Wesleyan Church. Flowers are welcome.
