Retha Heath Williams, of Goldsboro, expired on May 20, 2018 at Universal Healthcare in Fuquay Varina, North Carolina. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. The family will receive friends afterwards.

Retha was born in Goldsboro to Nebraska and Nina Peten Heath. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Lillie Mae Heath. Her formal education included the Wayne County Schools, Elizabeth City College and Lenoir Community College certified in business and computer courses.

Retha was employed at School Street School in Goldsboro, Woodington High School and DuPont in Kinston for 37 years. She joined St. Luke Church of Christ, 430 E. Elm Street, Goldsboro at an early age and a member of the choir for numerous years. Cherishing her memories are her caring daughter, Vickye Williams Herring (Charles); her devoted niece, Jacquelin Heath; her special cousins, Ann Barnes and Carol Clay; her extended family, Elbert Williams (deceased), Marcellus Harris (deceased) Andre Harris, Greg Sidberry, Kim and Karen Johnson and families and other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed in honor of Retha Williams, to Universal Healthcare, 410 S. Judd Parkway SE, Fuquay Varina, NC. 27526. The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
