Rev. David Paul Keippela, age 71, of Wyoming, Minnesota passed away on December 11, 2018Dave was born in Hancock, Michigan on October 30, 1947. He graduated from Doelle High School in Tapiola, Michigan.

He met and fell in love with his wife, Barbara. To this union they were blessed with two sons, Jason (Joy) and their two children, Noah and Hope; and Jeremy. Before being called to the ministry in 1985, he was a math and science special education teacher in Wrenshall, Minnesota.

Pastor Dave proudly served the Lord at Sunnyside Lutheran Church in Stacy, Minnesota for over 20 years. As an avid outdoorsman he enjoyed pursuing wild game and freshwater fish. Above all he truly loved the time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Pastor Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Svea (Kyro) Keippela; sisters-in-law, Pat Keippela, Rita Keippela; nephew, Michael Keippela. He is survived by his wife; children; grandchildren; siblings, Donald, Robert, Shirley (Roy) Tapio, Carol (Donald) Petrelius; twin sister, Doris (Carl) Grussendorf, Donna (Kevin) Ruohonen; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Sunnyside Lutheran Church, 22745 Typo Creek Drive NE, Stacy, MN 55079.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m., until the time of service at the church. Interment at Linwood Cemetery, Linwood Township, Minnesota.
