Rev. Ronnie Brown, 64, of Cumming passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018. A native of Forsyth County, Ronnie retired from Sawnee Electric after 46 years of service.

Over the years, he was pastor of Silver Shoals Baptist Church, Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Mayfield Baptist Church and Roanoke Baptist Church. A devoted family man and role model, Ronnie was always working hard to meet the needs of his family and others; teaching his sons and others how to hunt, fish, and be man of integrity. Always a character, Ronnie enjoyed a good laugh and joke.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Rebecca Brown of Cumming; mother, Frances Brown of Cumming; children, Reba (Richard) Crooks of Jefferson, Ron (Shannon) Brown of Cumming, Renita (Jeff) Guynn of Durham, NC, Robbie (Brooke) Brown of Cumming; grandchildren, Bishop and Bella Crooks, Emily and Catelyn Brown, Braelyn Walters, and Alex Guynn; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 29, at 2:00 p.m. at Mayfield Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Cowart, Rev.

Troy Milford, Rev. Stephen Davis and Rev. Carter Payne officiating.

Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday and Saturday from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service. Flowers are appreciated or you may make donations to the Hightower Baptist Association’s Food Bank.
