Reverend William H. “Bill” Berkheiser Jr., 97, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018, at Paramount Homes. Bill was the loving husband of the late Jean L. (Woodworth) Berkheiser. He will be missed by his children William H. (Nancy Balfour) Berkheiser III of Lake Orion, Michigan, Mary Ellen, (Rev.

Ronald) Stuart of Lancaster, Karin (Jorge) Matias of Mount Joy, and Keith (Sharon Mattson) Berkheiser of York; nine grandchildren; and twenty-three great grandchildren. Bill served in the U.S. Army Air Corp, graduated from the former Practical Bible Training School in NY and the John Brown University in AR, and attended seminary in MA. He pastored churches in PA and New England and served as Director of the Illinois Bible Church Mission and later as Director of EICM International in Mount Joy until his retirement in 1995.

He was a member of Calvary Bible Church of Mount Joy. Bill will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather, and a devoted servant of the Lord for over 60 years. Born in Plymouth, PA, he was the son of the late William and Emily (Robins) Berkheiser.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret King and Marion Oris. Funeral Services and interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery will be private and held at the convenience of his family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to EICM International, P.O. Box 183, Mount Joy PA 17552.
