Obituary for Richard Alan Rogers Sr. Augusta, Ga. Rick Rogers, 67, husband of the late Cindy Rogers, passed away on December 13th, 2018. Rick was born on January 25, 1951 in Augusta and was the youngest of four sons of the late W.S. Rogers, Sr. and Marie Cooler Rogers.

For many years, he was the owner of Rick Rogers Construction Company and had a passion for building quality custom homes. He was also the owner of Rick Rogers Development Company where he developed subdivisions in Columbia County including Eagleton, Wexford, and the Courtyards at Westlake. Later he worked in the construction equipment business.

After his wife, Cindy, passed away in 2005, he moved to Pensacola, FL where he established a shuttle company and was known and loved by his customers. Most recently, he retired and returned to Augusta where he would be closer to his children and grandchildren. Through the years, he and his wife enjoyed spending time with friends and traveling, especially to the coastal area.

He is survived by his children, Alan Rogers and wife April of Augusta and Amy Rogers Claus and husband Peter of Summerville, SC, and his five grandchildren Samuel, Patrick and George Rogers and Cooper and Lillian Claus. Additional family include his brothers, Lynn Rogers (Elsie), the late W.S. (Sonny) Rogers, Jr (Delores), and the late Dennis Rogers (Carolyn). There will be a private family gathering.
