Obituary for Richard D. Johnson Richard D. Johnson, age 64, of Newport, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at ProMedica Regional Hospital in Monroe, Michigan. Born on April 24, 1954 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of Peter and Alice (Quinn) Johnson. On June 26, 1987 he married Jill Sadowski in Texas.

He was employed with Sysco as a Truck Driver for 20 years until retiring in 2012. Richard was a Lifetime member of the Moose Lodge #884 in Monroe, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter LillieMae Catalani and brother William Miller.

He is survived by his wife, Jill Johnson of Newport; sons Eric Johnson and Kyle Johnson both of Newport; daughters Jillian Johnson of Belleville and Kara (David) Catalani of Newport, grandson, Richard; brother Peter (Debbie) Johnson Jr. of Warrensburg, NY and sister Barbara (Paul) Smith of Mexico, NY. Friends may visit in the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, Flat Rock Chapel on Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at 3:00 pm.

Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Richard D. Johnson please visit our Sympathy Store.
