Richard E. Floyd, a.k.a. Ricky or Rick, son of Earl Clinton & Mona Faye (Hooks) Floyd, was born November 7, 1956 in Whiteville, North Carolina. Later raised by his father and step-mother Ruth Floyd in Parkton, North Carolina. On June 3, 1977 Ricky was united with his beautiful wife Kathleen H. Robinson of Fayetteville, North Carolina.

They shared over 40 years of marriage together and were blessed with three children: Steven, Crystal, & Jason. Ricky passed on the afternoon of May 9, 2018 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital at the age of 61. Ricky will be sadly missed by his lovely wife Kathy & son Steven of the home; son Jason & Heidi (daughter-in-law) Floyd of Fort Bragg, North Carolina; daughter Crystal & Carl (son-in-law) Yonge of Hope Mills, North Carolina; Nine grandchildren that he loved dearly; five brothers and three sisters; church family; and many other relatives and friends.

A memorial service is to be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, May 19, 2018 in the Family Community Baptist Church, 3915 Camden Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28306.
