Sukenik, Richard F., “Dick”, 79, of Richland. Died May 3, 2018, at Windber Hospice. Born Jan.

13, 1939, in Johnstown. Son of the late Francis and Catherine (Marovich) Sukenik. Survived by wife of 54 years Anita L. (Willoughby); children Maryann Korenoski and Richard Michael (Catherine Hoover) Sukenik; Grandchildren Mark and Stephen Korenoski, and Jordyn Sukenik.

Brother of Mary Ann (Fred) Moulton, Ronald (Connie) Sukenik, and Raymond Sukenik. Also, numerous nieces and nephews. A 1956 graduate of Johnstown High School.

Army veteran of Vietnam and active with the Army Reserve. Retired from Quaker Sales Corporation with 43 years’ service as an office manager. Member of Saint Benedict’s Catholic Church in Geistown; St. Benedicts Duck Pin Bowling League, BPO Elks #175, Windber Moose, Richland American Legion Post 849 and VFW Post 155.

A volunteer for St. Benedicts Annual Reunion. Richard was an avid Penn State football fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family, dogs and especially his grandchildren.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil Service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM Monday at St. Benedict Church. Fr.
