Richard J. Viera, Sr., a resident of Beacon, passed away on May 17, 2019 at Westchester Medical Center in Mount Pleasant. He was 55 years old. Richie was born in Queens on July 6, 1963 the son of the late Nelson Viera and Lydia Lopez Viera.

Richie had worked as a handyman and would always help out anyone in need. He was a deeply spiritual and religious man. Richie is survived by his children, Richard, Jr., Christopher, Alex, Julian, Jennifer and Yesenia; his siblings, Judy, Darlene, Edwin and Nelson, Jr.; his close nieces and nephews, Louie, Dominick, Alexis and Alyssa; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Richie was predeceased by his brother, Carlos Viera and nephew, Carlos Viera, Jr. Family and friends will gather on Saturday, May 25 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, 2 Beekman Street, Beacon.
