Obituary for Richard K. Anderson Richard Kenneth Anderson, of Bloomington, MN, formerly of Kenosha, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 15, 2018. He was born in Kenosha on November 9, 1952, to Richard G. and Bettie (Thomsen) Anderson. He attended local schools and was a 1970 graduate of Tremper High School and in 1974 graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in economics.

After completing college, he moved to Minnesota and held various jobs there. At the time of his death he was employed at Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport in Customer Service. Richard was an avid reader and enjoyed collecting books.

While only 11 when President Kennedy was killed, he became quite involved and knowledgeable spending many hours of research on the subject. He also was a great Beatles fan. In addition to his book and music collection he enjoyed playing golf and chess.

He is survived by his parents, Richard and Bettie Anderson of Kenosha; a sister, Cheryl Anderson of Kenosha; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Richard was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Amos and Marie Anderson; and maternal grandparents, Markus and Neta Thomsen. A memorial service will be held to honor Richard’s life on Saturday, December 29th, at Proko Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be private Green Ridge Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
