Richard Lee “Dick” Campbell, 68, of Grantsville, MD, died Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Frostburg Village Nursing Home, Frostburg, MD. Born September 13, 1950, in Frostburg, he was the son of the late Harry Ronald and Leah Mae (Hetrick) Campbell. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, James “Jim” and Clara Campbell, Ervin and Mae (Bittinger) Hetrick and Orval and Thelma (Resh) Bittinger; one sister, Bonita “Bonnie” Campbell Self; and one niece, Lucy Campbell.

Mr. Campbell was a member of the Oak Grove Mennonite Church, who loved music and sports, including the Pittsburgh Steelers. Dick attended Northern High School. He is survived by his mother, Larna Rae (Bittinger) Campbell, Grantsville; two brothers, Jack E. (Debbie) Campbell, Swanton, MD; Alan D. (Margie) Campbell, Grantsville; nieces and nephews, Bobbie, Jackie, Chad, Jason, Jessica Campbell and Teri Self; and several aunts & uncles.

At his request, he will be cremated and services will be held at a later date. Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, is in charge of cremation arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the charity of your choice.
