Richard N. Tipton, age 65 of Fairport Harbor, OH passed away on Feb. 5, 2019 at his home. Born May 5, 1953 in Covington, KY to William H. and Juanita (nee: Brock) Tipton, he had been a longtime Covington area resident until moving to Fairport 10 years ago.

He was a proud veteran of the US Marine Corp and worked as an industrial painter, painting the USS Cod in Cleveland. Survivors include his son Jeremy (Phyllis) Surgener of Morris Chapel,TN, 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and William (Kathleen) Tipton of Ft. Thomas, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son Richard Sherman Surgener. Friends are asked to gather at the Potti & Marc F.
