OBITUARY Richard P. Wisland February 7, 1928 – August 17, 2018 Richard P. Wisland ‘R.P.” passed peacefully at the age of 90 on Friday August 17, 2018. R.P. was the beloved husband for 65 years of Lorraine; cherished father of Sharon (Chuck) Smith and Mike Wisland; dear grandfather of Chris (Tomo) and Kelly (Tim); great-grandfather of Colton and Kaion. A member of the Greatest Generation, R.P. grew up in Wauwatosa Wisconsin and served our country during World War II in the US Air Force.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics from St. Louis University at Parks College. He was a private pilot who soloed on his 16th birthday. He worked for McDonnell Douglass, and retired as a stockbroker.

R.P. enjoyed the outdoors, SCUBA diving, skiing, sailing, and travelling. He spent many years as an Indian Guide and Explorer Scout Leader. He was president of the Olivette Citizens Committee and was the recipient of many achievement awards for his years of devoted service.
