Obituary for Richard Perry “Kingfish” Longtin Print Richard Perry Longtin, “Dick”, “Kingfish”, 74, of Bourbonnais, Illinois passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. He was born in Kankakee on December 25, 1944, the son of Perry Uriel Longtin and Frances Pearl (Danner) Longtin. He attended St. Patrick High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany.

On August 7, 1970, he married Sue Ilene Stevens at the Kankakee County Courthouse. Dick worked for Chebanse Ag Company for 20 years. He was a member of St. George Catholic Church.

He was an avid NASCAR and late model dirt racing fan. He was a Go-kart racer in his youth. He will be missed by his constant companion, his long-haired Chihuahua, Penny.

Dick is survived by his loving wife, Sue Longtin; five brothers: Mike (Linda) Longtin of Dixon, Illinois, Jim (Dorothy) Longtin of Kokomo, Indiana, Tom (Debbie) Longtin of Bourbonnais, Illinois, John (Kathy) Longtin of Richmond, Texas, and Al (Caren) Longtin of New Lenox, Illinois; one sister, Angie (Darrell) Marsh of Kankakee, Illinois; one sister-in-law, Pam Longtin of Aroma Park, Illinois; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bob Longtin and Don Longtin. The family is planning a celebration of Dick’s life for Sunday, March 24, 2019.

There will be no visitation. Private burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Rensselaer, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dick’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
