Richard T. Jones, Jr., age 90 of Columbus died on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. Preceded in death by son, Duane Thomas and daughter, Karen Ann Egger; sister, Gladys Hespenheide Morgan. Survived by wife of 70 years, Charlotte A. Jones; children, Donald (Susan), David (Teresa), Dale (Julie) Jones, Gwendolyn Tower; Grandchildren, Brett (Tracy) Jones, Leslie (Eric) Anderson, Jeff (Christina Taylor) Egger, Nicole (Ken) Hardin, Chris (Heather France) Jones, Adam (April) Jones, Allison Jones, Anthony (Jennifer) Jones, Austin (Bethany) Jones, Autumn Jones, Rachael (Jason) McCarthy, Preston Tower; Great Grandchildren, Kaitlynn (Ian) Rawdon, Emily Jones, Tyler Anderson, Aiden Hardin, Isaac Jones, Hudson Jones, Myles Jones, Madison Jones, Ava Jones, Carson Jones, Evelyn Jones, Landon Jones, Liam Jones, Shane McCarthy, Rylan McCarthy; other relatives and friends.

Former member of McKendree UMC, veteran US Army World War II, graduate Columbus North High School class of 1946. Retired RPO United States Postal Service, Chase Bank and Dick Myer Security. Mens Ohio State table tennis champion 1957 and numerous Columbus city championships.

Funeral Service will be held 7 PM Friday, March 22, 2019 at Rutherford Funeral Home, 2383 North High St., Columbus, where friends may call 4-7 pm. Burial Union Cemetery. Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
