Obituary of Richard Homovich Richard A. Homovich, 71, of Downsville passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 22, 2019 at home. Richard was born on July 9, 1947 in Margaretville, the son of the late George and Bertha (Luscomb) Homovich. On April 30, 1965 he married the former Pamela Lacey in Walton.

Richard was a self-employed stone cutter for many years before retiring. He also took care of the Corbett Water System for 15 years. Richard loved taking long walks for miles and miles in the woods looking for new stone quarrys, care of his yard and home, riding motorcycle, and playing his guitar.

He also loved family get togethers, eating and spending time with his family and his cats. Richard is survived by his loving family, his wife of 53 years, Pamela, son, Allan Homovich of Downsville, grandson, Nathan, mother in law, Theda Lacy of Hamden, NY; brothers and sister in laws, George and Beverly Houck, Wallace, Warren, and Walter Lacey, Sheila Birch, aunts, Martha Luscomb, Margaret Foster, Roberta Lacey, nieces and nephews, David, Donnie, Sherry, Patty Ellen, Susie, and Mary Jane, Matt, Jeremy, Alan, Alicia, Kathy, Robert, John, Nicole, Warren K, and Raymond. .

He was predeceased by his sister, June, brother and sister in laws, Art and Jean Homovich, Charlie and Barbara Homovich, and his nephew, Gerald Homovich. A graveside service will be held at Paige Cemetery in Downsville in the Spring. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
