Rick (Possum)’s Obituary Rick (Possum) Jason Panther, 47, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 in Tahlequah, OK. Possum was born on January 3, 1972 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas to his parents, Elmer James Panther, Sr. and Verna Sue Fields-Panther. Possum was a graduate of Oaks High School, Oaks, OK.

He worked most of his life in Commercial Construction. He enjoyed playing softball and fishing. Possum was an Avid Oklahoma Sooners Fan.

His family and friends will miss him dearly and will always keep his memory alive. Possum is proceeded in death by his grandma, Josie Fields; mom, Verna Sue Fields; Uncle/Dad, Selven Fields and Aunt Sharon Adair. He is survived by his dad, Elmer Panther, Sr. and wife Peggy of Jay, OK and Aunt/Mom Joann Fields; 4 Children, Jeremy Chuculate and Jericka of Westville, OK.

, Jerrick Drywater, Delaney Drywater and Erianna Drywater all of Tahlequah, OK. ; significant other Desiree Leaf and her 2 children Kristen and Jessica; siblings, Elmer John Panther, Jr. and wife Nina of Kansas, OK. , Darlene Sanders and husband Barry of Peggs, OK.

, Joey Fields of Kansas, OK. , Vanessa Fields of Flint Ridge, OK. , Tonia Trejo and husband Eduardo of Oaks, OK.

, Laura Fields of Oaks, OK. , Tony Fields of Oaks, OK. ; 2 grandchildren Solomon and Sophia Chuculate; 27 nieces and nephews; 11 great-nieces and nephews; numerous cousins, extended family and friends.

Possum’s Wake Service will be held on Sunday, 6:00pm, May 5, 2019 at Lawson’s Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 311 W. Gray St., Jay OK 74346 followed by his family visitation to greet friends until 8:00pm. Possum’s Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 2:00pm, Long Prairie Baptist Church, Kansas, OK with Pastor, George Cochran and Pastor Jess Glass officiating. Burial will be at Long Prairie Cemetery, Kansas, OK.

Arrangements are entrusted to Lawson’s Funeral Homes & Cremation Services with Shaunda J. Lawson, 3rd Generation Owner/Funeral Director and Staff.
