Ricky’s Obituary Ricky Dwayne Lewis was born into this life on May 4, 1985 to Milvinnia Penny and Ricky Utsey. Right away they knew Ricky was a special child whose life would touch many in its own way. As a little boy he accepted Christ and was baptized.

Although he didn’t attend church consistently he believed in God and prayed. Rickey grew up to be a handsome and talented young man. In Junior High School he played in the band and perfected playing the snare drum; but his passion was basketball.

He played the point guard position for Camden Fairview High School. His skill set and love for the game moved him up in ranks as a local basketball celebrity. As life would have it Ricky was injured in high school and his dreams of playing basketball were at hand.

He was hospitalized for several months and had extensive therapy. The love and support shown helped him “shake back” and look at life in a different perspective. He met and married Kimberly N. Lewis on January 12, 2012 and they were married 8 years until his passing.

This marriage blessed him with three loving children. He worked for Camden News; he enjoyed cleaning, all music, cooking and grilling. One of his favorite songs was “Tennessee Whiskey” and he was a self proclaimed “grill master”.

Although his life seemed so brief, the quality of his existence could never be compatred to the time here on earth. In his 33rd season of life he passed from this life on Monday, March 4, 2019 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. He was preceded in passing by his grandparents, Mildred and Robert Hill and Bobbie Utsey; his great-grandparents, Mayola Tatum, John and Lilllie Mae Utsey and two uncles John Lewis and Rev.

Melvin Hayes. Because love of far greater than death his love will live in the hearts of his wife of 8 years, Kimberly Lewis of Camden; his parents, Ricky Utsey and Milvinnia Penny of Camden; three children, Alyssa Moore, Landen Howard and Kayleigh Howard all of Camden; siblings, Shameka Blankenship, Merico Lewis, Latoya (Michael) McKenzie and Miranda Langford all of Camden, Michael L. Williams, Jr., and San Quiten Williams both of Arkadelphia; his best friend, Marcus “Quack” Morris of Camden. He also leaves a host of nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Public visitation will be from 1:00-7:00pm on Friday, March 15, 2019 at Williams Funeral Home Van Buren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Greater St. Paul Baptist Church with Rev. Jeffrey Franklin, eulogist.
