Rita Bobbie Mitchell, 70, passed away May 22, 2019. Rita was born August 28, 1948 in Carthage, Missouri to Henry and Leola “Shrock” Lasiter. Rita was a lifetime Carthage resident and had worked at the popcorn plant in Jasper.

She liked to play bingo. Rita was united in marriage to Coy Mitchell February 12, 1966 in Webb City, Missouri. He preceded her in death June 7th 2002.

Rita is survived by two daughters Bobbie Southard and husband Gary of Joplin, Kellie Renteria of Carthage, two sons Cortney Mitchell and wife Shannon of Jasper, and Terry Mitchell of Carthage. Also surviving are two brothers Martin Lasiter of Carthage and Richard Lasiter of Webb City, and a twin sister Nita Dalton of Carterville, twenty grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Rita is preceded in death by two brothers; Loren Lasiter and Joseph Lasiter, seven sisters; Betty Swafford, Gloriann Stark, Lucille Magdaleno, Delila Carpenter, Henrietta Stark, Mary McNamara and Melicent Palmer, and twin siblings, John and Joan Lasiter.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday May 28, 2019 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to services Tuesday May 28, 2019. Burial will be at Purcell Friends cemetery in Purcell, Missouri.
