Obituary for Rita “Gerry” Fleuren (LaClair) Print WATERFORD Rita Geraldine Fleuren, 88, of Washington Ave. died Wednesday January 23, 2019 at Samaritan Hospital. Born in Churubusco, NY she was the daughter of the late John and Rose Jarvais LaClair.

She had resided in Troy and Watervliet before moving to Waterford. Gerry had been employed as a School Crossing Guard at St. Mary’s School in Waterford for a number of years. She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Waterford.

She enjoyed gardening and traveling, having been to Las Vegas several times, travel to Hawaii and went on many cruises. She is survived by her husband of 62 years Henry J. Fleuren. She is the mother of Daniel DiNuzzo of Clifton Park, Henry W. Fleuren of Saratoga Springs and the late Alson DiNuzzo.

She is the proud grandmother of Daniel DiNuzzo Jr. of Saratoga Springs and sister of John LaClair (Elizabeth) of Schenectady and the late Harold and Herman LaClair. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Monday at noon at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St., (Rte.

32), Waterford. Interment will follow at Memory’s Garden, Colonie. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110.
