Obituary for Rita Louise St. John Rita Louise St. John, 71 of Blue, OK passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born on December 26, 1947 in Durant, OK to Charlie O. and Addie Lee (Jordan) Tyree. Rita grew up and lived most of life in Bryan County.
She married the love of her life, Johnny St. John, on June 20, 1965 in Durant, OK. Rita worked as an LPN for Oak Ridge Nursing Home for over 20 years. She attended Blue Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, drawing and painting.
Rita also loved to cook, watching horror movies, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rita is preceded in death by her parents, brother Rodger Tyree, brother Don Tyree, sister Sandra Sue Zachry, and step dad Jody Norris. Rita is survived by her husband Johnny St. John of the home, son Charles “Shorty” St. John and wife Hollie of Bennington, OK, daughters Tammy “Bell” Musgrove of Blue, OK and Cynthia “Cindy” Dophied and husband Frankie of Bennington, OK, son Johnny Dale “J.D.” St. John of Blue, OK, 10 grandchildren; Bradley Jackson and wife Megan of Durant, OK, Clay St. John and Corey St. John both of Bennington, OK, Justin Musgrove and Tamra Musgrove of Wilson, OK, Marisa Jones and husband David of Blue, OK, Devin Dophied of Bennington, OK, Tesla Smith of Washington, Johnny Lane St. John and Angle St. John both of Durant, OK, 14 great grandchildren, brother Charlie Tyree and wife Casey of Durant, OK, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Family Hour for friends and family will be held on Monday, January 7, 2019 from 6-8:00PM.
Pallbearers will be Corey St. John, Paul Owen, David Ratcliff, Vincent Tyree, Devin Dophied, and Bubba Zachry. Honorary Pallbearer will be Justin Musgrove. Condolences can be sent to www.
