Obituary for Roberdeau Allison “Al” Ludwig Roberdeau Allison Ludwig, 73, known as “Al”, of Kilmarnock, Virginia passed away Friday, March 8, 2019. He was born in Fairfax, Virginia on October 12, 1945. He has resided in the Northern Neck for 35 years.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jane B. Ludwig; his son, Henry David Ludwig; two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Redford and Jane Allison Brumfield; two grandsons, James David Ludwig and Wayne Collier; and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Corrine Arlene Ludwig. Al was a graduate of Randolph Macon Academy and Wake Forest University.

He was a realtor, broker and appraiser for Sherwood Real Estate and co-owner of Bay Meadows Real Estate. After retiring, Al was a property manager. He spent most of his time taking care of his wife and enjoyed fishing as much as time would allow.

He was an avid model train hobbyist and an avid fisherman. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p. m. Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Kilmarnock United Methodist Church, Kilmarnock. Interment will follow the service at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Family will receive friends 5-7 p. m. Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Currie Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Bon Secours Richmond Health Care Foundation, Cardiac Surgery Nurses at Memorial Regional Medical Center, 5008 Monument Ave. , Second Floor, Richmond, VA 23230.
