Obituary for Robert Anthony Maletta Robert A. “Bob” Maletta of East Patchogue, NY, passed away peacefully on Sept 7, 2018, with family at his side in the home in which he grew up. He was the beloved son of the late Orlando and Anna Maletta, devoted father of Christopher, cherished brother of Lon Maletta and sister-in law Martha Maletta, loved brother to the late Ann Marie Maletta, adored grandfather “Papa” to Troy and Jaymie, and beloved partner of the late George Osborne. He is also survived by a nephew, grandnieces, cousins and many cherished friends and valued colleagues and associates from his active and diverse life.

He was most proud of and satisfied with his 36 years with the Suffolk County Department of Public Works and his 50 years involved in local theatre, both acting and directing, especially in recent years with the Clare Rose Playhouse. In lieu of flowers the family suggests to contribute in Bob’s memory to the Clare Rose Playhouse or SAGE Bayshore or Playcrafters Theatre Company.
