Robert H. Dandy, 86, of Bow, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Cottage Hospital in Woodsville NH after a recent stay at The Birches of Concord. Born on August 18, 1931 in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late George H. and Concetta (Simonelli) Dandy. Bob was a graduate of Concord High School and UNH.

He proudly serve his country in the United States Air Force. Bob was employed by Sprague Electric for many years before moving on to manage several for IPC/Freudenberg NOK where he worked until his retirement. Bob served on the Bow Planning Board for several years.

He was an avid wind surfer, loved time with his family, going bowling or golfing and was always known for being a hard worker. Besides his parents, Bob was predeceased by a brother William G. Dandy. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret (Varney) Dandy of Bow, his children, Stephen B. Dandy and his wife Edye of Cascade, MD, Barbara A. Lawler and her husband Kevin of Bow, Michael R. Dandy and Penny Ladd of Concord and Deborah I. Greenwood and Anthony Ruggirio of Bow; sister, Norma Dickerson of Belmont; grandchildren, Abigail Gallagher, Sean Lawler, Jennifer Gossert, Patricia Jones, Anthony Dandy, Emily Greenwood and Jack Greenwood; and 4 great grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In accordance with Bob’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00pm – 4:00pm on Saturday, July 7th, 2018 at the home of Barbara and Kevin Lawler, 48 Woodhill Road, Bow, NH 03304. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Associations, 166 South River Road #210, Bedford, NH 03110.
