Obituary for Robert “Bob” Samuel Schloetzer Bob “Sauce” Schloetzer, 87, Topeka, Kansas, passed away November 20, 2018. Bob was born on February 26, 1931, in Sharon, Kansas, the son of Benjamin and Anise Carlson Schloetzer. Bob graduated from Lawrence Memorial High School in 1949.

He married Julie Elting on December 28, 1972. After service in the United States Army, he returned to Topeka to attend Clarks School of Business. Bob began his career as a Court Reporter for District Judge David Prager.

Soon after, Bob and Arthur Curtis formed Curtis, Schloetzer and Associates, a freelance Court Reporting partnership. Bob loved playing golf, singing, and strumming the guitar but his passion was telling jokes, especially the duck hunter story. Bob is survived by his wife, Julie; nephews, Douglas Gray, Charlie Gray (Amy); niece, Karen Gray; and brother-in-law, Cyrus Elting (Carmen).

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Clenna Gray (Charles). As per Bob’s long standing wish, he has been cremated and there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Helping Hands Humane Society, sent in care of Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614.
