Robert D. McCann, 82, of Bainbridge was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 14, 1937 in Middletown and was the loving son of the late David and Mary (Cirulli) McCann. Robert was a proud Navy veteran and served on the USS Sierra (AD-18).

He worked as a RAD Waste Supervisor at TMI for over 40 years. Robert was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Middletown Anglers and Hunters and American Legion Post 329, Elizabethtown. Robert faithfully attended the Falmouth United Methodist Church.

He loved to go up to his cabin in the mountains and he was a huge fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Phillies. In addition to his parents Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Keim. Robert is survived by his wife of 61 years, Shelby (Hackenberger) McCann; daughters, Kathleen Waltz (John), Crystal Tennis (Larry); sisters, Nancy Menear (Pat), Joyce Conrad; grandsons, Michael McCann (Tanya), Travis Tennis (Hannah); three great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Tyler and Christopher.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. The family has entrusted the Matinchek Funeral Home, 260 E. Main St., Middletown with the funeral arrangements. Condolences may be sent online at www.
