Obituary for Mr. Robert Daniel Ryan Sr. Big Stone Gap, Virginia Robert Daniel Ryan, Sr. passed away on Saturday (Dec 29 2018) at his home. Robert was born on January, 23, 1935 and was the son of the late Rev. Henry and Vergie Flores Ryan.

He graduated from Dryden High School class of 1953. He was married for 58 years to the love of his life. He really enjoyed fishing and the outdoors.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Rev. Henry and Vergie Flores Ryan, his brothers Kenneth Ryan, Kyle Ryan, Wayne Ryan, Jerry Ryan, and Douglas Ryan, sister Barbara Bays. He is survived by his loving wife; Mary Belle Ryan of the home, daughters; Rita husband Keylas Quesenberry and Jeannie husband Josh Gillenwater both of Dryden, sons; Danny wife Donna Ryan, Doug wife Amy Ryan both of Big Stone Gap, siblings; James Ryan of Big Stone Gap , Beulah Vaughn of Big Stone Gap, Bernice husband Bill Cucura of Garnet Valley PA; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday, Jan 1, 2019 at Holding Funeral Home in Big Stone Gap, VA. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM Tuesday with pastors James Ray Holcomb and James Herron officiating. Special music will be provided by: Glimpse of grace.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at the Flores Cemetery in the Wildcat community. Family and friends are asked to meet at funeral home by 10:30 AM Wednesday for the procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be; Rusty Ryan, J.R. Quesenberry, Gage White, Shawn Daniel, David Mullins, Shane White Honorary pallbearer will be Steve Bowen ,David Bowen and Travis Phillips.
